At the Institute of Security Architecture United, we’re shaping the future of cybersecurity architecture and engineering as the world’s first Security Standards Development Organization (SDO). Since 2019, ISAUnited has embarked on a comprehensive journey—including the creation of the Defensible Standards, the launch of professional licensing for cybersecurity architects and engineers, and the development of advanced research and education initiatives—focused on intellectual pursuit, technical SKAs, and industry transformation. Through these efforts, ISAUnited is elevating standards, empowering members, and strengthening the discipline of security architecture to create a defensible, impactful, and sustainable future for all.

By transforming knowledge into wisdom and uniting global members under a shared framework of clarity, discipline, and practicality, ISAUnited will pioneer the gold standard for secure design and establish a lasting foundation for education, professionalization, and innovation.
Campus Master Plan
A Vision for ISAUnited’s Independent Campus in Houston, Texas.
While ISAUnited remains committed to being a strong, global online community for our members, fellows, and partners, we are also preparing to establish our first independent campus in Houston by 2028. This marks a transformative milestone for the field of cybersecurity architecture and engineering.
The campus will feature the CyberOne and CyberTwo towers — modern, purpose-built facilities dedicated to education, research, and professional development.
The Campus Master Plan reflects ISAUnited’s mission to create an intellectual hub where members, fellows, students, and global partners can collaborate to advance the discipline. From state-of-the-art classrooms and research centers to collaborative labs and community spaces, CyberOne and CyberTwo will stand as symbols of ISAUnited’s commitment: turning knowledge into wisdom and securing the future through defensible design.
Strategic Priorities 2024–2028
ISAUnited’s next chapter is defined by a commitment to advance cybersecurity architecture and engineering through disciplined standards, education, research, and professionalization. Our strategic plan for 2024–2028 focuses on the following priorities:
1. Defensible Standards Development
Expanding the ISAUnited Defensible 10 Standards (D10S) and sub-standards to deliver actionable, measurable, and auditable security architecture requirements that define the gold standard for secure design.
2. Education & Workforce Advancement
Launching ISAUnited’s Foundations and Mastering series, corporate training programs, initiation of our 'School of Engineering Cyber Defense', and preparing for our local footprint of 'Cyber College of Texas' (target 2028) to nurture future generations of cybersecurity architects and engineers.
3. Professional Licensing & Recognition
Establishing the Certified Professional Cybersecurity Architect (CPCA) and Engineer (CPCE) licenses, modeled on true engineering practice, to professionalize and elevate the field of cybersecurity architecture.
4. Research & Innovation
Driving forward the Technical Research Center (TRC), Applied Cyber Sciences Division, and emerging frameworks such as Component Integrity Engineering (CIE) and the AI Tapestry Secure Framework to ensure defensible, future-ready architectures.
5. Community & Global Impact
Strengthening ISAUnited’s Fellow Society, member community, and international partnerships to ensure that clarity, discipline, and practicality in design become the cornerstone of secure systems worldwide.
