Intrusion 8
Overview

Intrusion 8 is ISAUnited’s Red Team Intelligence initiative for studying adversary behavior, intrusion paths, and defensible cybersecurity architecture.

What Is Intrusion 8

A responsible Red Team Intelligence initiative by ISAUnited.

Intrusion 8 was created to help practitioners, architects, engineers, analysts, and technical leaders study adversary behavior in a structured and responsible way. It gives ISAUnited a dedicated capability for examining how hostile activity develops, how intrusions move through technical environments, and how defensive architecture can be strengthened through adversary informed analysis.

The purpose of Intrusion 8 is not to glorify attackers or promote offensive misuse. Its purpose is to help defenders understand the conditions that allow intrusions to succeed, the paths adversaries may take, and the defensive decisions needed to resist, detect, contain, and improve.

What Intrusion 8 Studies

Threat actors, threat vectors, tooling, and intrusion behavior.

Intrusion 8 organizes Red Team Intelligence around the core elements that shape modern intrusion activity. Threat actors help practitioners understand who may be operating against an environment. Threat vectors describe the pathways, exposure conditions, and impact paths that enable hostile activity to move through systems. Threat tooling helps defenders understand the capabilities, patterns, and operational signals that may appear during an intrusion.

Together, these elements help practitioners move from general threat awareness to structured adversary analysis. Intrusion 8 gives teams a disciplined way to study how hostile activity forms, how systems become exposed, and how defensive architecture should respond.

How Intrusion 8 Supports the Defensible 10 Standards

Connecting Red Team Intelligence to standards, TADA, and RBEX.

Intrusion 8 supports the larger ISAUnited ecosystem by connecting adversary study to defensible cybersecurity architecture. It helps pressure the Defensible 10 Standards against threat actors, threat vectors, adversary tooling, intrusion patterns, and changing threat landscapes. This keeps defensive guidance connected to real adversarial behavior.

Intrusion 8 also supports Technical Adversarial and Defensible Analysis and the development of Red and Blue Engineering Exercise practices. TADA gives practitioners a method for understanding the crime, studying the adversary, mapping the path, engineering the defense, and demonstrating why the design is defensible. RBEX gives organizations a structured way to turn that analysis into responsible red and blue team exercises with scope, oversight, defensive intent, and evidence based outcomes.

Intrusion 8 helps ISAUnited connect responsible Red Team Intelligence to defensible architecture, engineering decisions, threat research, and readiness for Red and Blue Engineering Exercises. It gives practitioners a structured way to study adversary behavior while keeping the mission focused on stronger defense.
