Description
ISAUnited’s Defensible 10 Champion course prepares cybersecurity professionals to lead the practical adoption of the Defensible 10 Standards within an organization.
Students learn a structured and repeatable method for selecting a D10S domain, defining the implementation scope, interpreting Parent Standard requirements, gathering current-state evidence, identifying gaps, and converting those gaps into actionable engineering tickets.
The program also teaches Champions how to coordinate implementation across specialized cyber teams, establish acceptance criteria, support Verification and Validation, maintain Evidence Workbooks and Evidence Packs, and prepare completed domains for management review.
The Champion is not expected to implement every technical control personally. The Champion guides the process, maintains traceability, supports the technical owners, and ensures that implementation results are measurable, tested, and evidence-based.

Cyber Capstone Portfolio
Description
A focused, real world mission scenario that lets you prove mastery through a concise, defensible submission. The Cyber Capstone is built around a structured Mission Pack and is completed as a solo, written, remote, and time boxed assignment over two weeks (10 business days). Earlier submission is acceptable. There are no multiple choice tests.
What you will complete

Artifact 1: Champion Project Brief and Scope
Define the selected domain, objective, assessment scope, stakeholders, owners, assumptions, and constraints. -
Artifact 2: Current-State Domain Assessment
Review the supplied architecture, configurations, and evidence. Assess the Parent Standard requirements and technical specifications, then identify what is met, partially met, not met, not applicable, or cannot be verified. -
Artifact 3: Gap Analysis and Engineering Package
Document priority implementation and evidence gaps. Convert findings into engineering tickets with D10S references, owners, acceptance criteria, rollback requirements, and evidence. -
Artifact 4: Verification, Validation, and Evidence Plan
Define how completed work will be verified, validated, retested, and recorded through the Evidence Workbook. -
Artifact 5: Domain Status and Management Briefing
Summarize assessment results, priorities, open gaps, residual risk, evidence status, and next steps in a concise presentation deck with speaker notes.
How it is evaluated
Your submission is evaluated using the ISAUnited Defensible Capability Score, a two-section scoring model based on written deliverables only.
Part 1 - Champion Artifact Evaluation, Pass or Fail, scores the submitted artifacts for standards interpretation, assessment completeness, gap accuracy, ticket quality, traceability, Verification and Validation, evidence readiness, and defensibility.
Part 2 - Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Capability Profile evaluates how you performed through the capstone by assessing disciplined practice, engineering judgment, coordination, evidence management, communication, and leadership, with evidence references tied to the submitted artifacts.
Outcome
Successful completion satisfies the Capstone requirement for the ISAUnited Certified Professional License in your selected track.

This is the license you earn when you pass the D10S CPL evaluation (included in the Pro Bundle). The evaluation is capstone-based—no multiple-choice exams. A successful review adds your name to the ISAUnited public registry.
